Jeremy Ivey - “Edge Of Darkness”

Jeremy Ivey - “Edge Of Darkness”

I first started hearing Jeremy Ivey’s voice in the background of a few late night drunken phone calls to Dillon Warnek. I’d picked up, through fragments of stories from Dillon, that Jeremy was a fun hang, a monster songwriter, and seemingly keeping Dillon out of trouble. Dillon sent me Jeremy’s new record, “It’s Shape Will Reveal Itself,” after a few days of listening, we were talking about putting it out via Soggy Anvil Records. I’ve since visited Jeremy in Nashville, and he’s come out to see us in our garage in Los Angeles.

Jeremy recorded this record on an old Tascam 388 reel to reel tape machine last summer and fall. He played all the instruments except for the drums. Dom Billett took care of that. The songs are honest and vulnerable in their writing, as well as their execution.

His first single, “Edge Of Darkness” was sang live into one mic with Margo Price.

I took the photo for the cover on 35mm film behind the garage.

Check it out, wherever you listen yo music!

You can preorder the cassette now.
